As parents, we are a tribe. No matter what your age, race, or occupation is, or how many kids you have, you are inducted into the tribe by toiling over dirty diapers, persevering through sleep deprivation, and putting up with tantrums, hair pulling, and endless hours of whining.
But on the flip side, in this tribe, we also receive the best hugs, the best giggles, tickles, little hands to hold, and the best sound bytes to learn from and treasure.
This is what I have come to believe – that we, as parents, are a united tribe that must stick together and continue to teach each other by sharing what we’ve learned.
